When it comes to cleansing, your body moves in a daily, seasonal, and emotional rhythm—and when you understand all three, fasting and cleansing finally starts to make sense!

1. Daily Rhythm: Your body is designed to clear and eliminate in the morning, receive and use nutrients during the day, and repair while you sleep. Work with this rhythm by starting your day with a glass of water, eating meals within a consistent 8-12 hour window, and setting a regular bedtime to ensure restful sleep. When you do this, cleansing becomes natural instead of forced.

2. Seasonal Rhythm: Just like nature, your body moves through times of rest, release, maintenance, and strengthening. Observe what your body needs in each season—consider scheduling extra sleep in winter, focusing on light, fresh foods in spring, and prioritizing restorative activities as needed. While some seasons call for deeper cleansing, others require warmth, rebuilding, and gentle support. In each case, timing matters and adapting your habits to the season supports your overall well-being.

3. Emotional Rhythm: Your inner life affects your physical body more than you realize. Stress, grief, overwhelm, and transition all create a natural desire for change and reset. To honor this rhythm, try setting aside a few quiet moments each day to check in with your emotions, practice journaling, or use deep breathing to help break cycles and support deeper healing from the inside out.
